Since launching Mornington Peninsula Funerals, we have had the privilege of caring for many wonderful families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
A number of people expressed how they have found it difficult to deal with their loss.
Some were further saddened, particularly during the past 12 months, to be deprived of the opportunity to celebrate their loved one’s life with a traditional funeral.
We wanted to offer these families further support.
On Wednesday 26th May 2021, Local Funeral Celebrant Leonie Adams conducted our inaugural evening of Remembrance, Celebration and Support.
Twenty-one of our past client families attended the event, many expressing their deep gratitude for the opportunity to pay further respects and remember their loved one with a candle-lighting ceremony, and to receive beautiful words of comfort.
If you are feeling heavy with grief and/or would like to pay further respects and remember your loved one, we invite you to attend one of our future commemorative events.
Our events offer:
Words of comfort and remembrance readings.
Guest speakers providing:
relevant information and guidance for ongoing life, and
strategies for coping with bereavement and grief,
participate in a traditional candle lighting ceremony,
learn about and connect with local community groups, and
network, meet new people and exchange ideas over supper.
When: Our next event will be in the lead up to Christmas. Date and time TBA
Where: Safety Beach Sailing Club, 185 Marine Dr, Safety Beach
Tickets: Mornington Peninsula Funerals clients are welcomed free of charge.

HI Julie, Andrew, Virginia and Michael,
Wow what an outstanding evening that was delivered in the most heart-warming way I’ve ever experienced.
Your professionalism but the ability to deliver with such grace, love, empathy and respect was exceptional and extremely heartfelt.
You all should be so proud of the evening you gave us, I can’t praise you all high enough. That was a huge event that you put together and I have no doubt your next event will be equally successful.
Thank you for extending the invitation to me, it was a very memorable celebration. Speakers were outstanding and they too should be very proud of their deliverances last night, well done everyone.
Funeral Celebrant & Grief Counsellor.
It was absolutely fantastic.
Emotional – but very, very good.
As we couldn't have a funeral for David, this evening helped us immensely.
My sisters and I would very much like to attend your next event.
Thank you again,
Mrs Ines Stuart
